- the most fabulous view of the Amalfi coast - great spot for day trips to Positano, Minori, Ravello, Capri and Amalfi...lovely terrace and beautiful grounds...Ravello would be a quieter place to stay - not on the Amalfi coast road...I would avoid Amalfi and Positano except in the afternoons when the bus tours thin out...Plus: clean, neat, fabulous terrace and view; good location for traveling to nearby cities either by car or by bus, washing machine was a nice convenience but ask for directions! Road right outside the apartment was very busy there is off-street parking provided but it is a treacherous process to get parked (backing in on a blind curve where the traffic is constant and moves very fast)...beautiful view - can't beat it - it has nearly the same view as from Rondinaia, Gore Vidal's former home, a beautiful mansion straight up the mountain in Ravello! L'Incanto is the perfect place if you don't mind being on a busy street with almost no space for pedestrians but we got accustomed to that also - that is just how it is on the Amalfi coast!...We loved Ravello - what a picturesque Italian village with wonderful views on all sides and a fairy tale piazza - don't miss this - we loved the meal we had a Vittoria in Ravelloand at the Villa Maria - also at Il Botte in Minori - we considered skipping Pompeii but we are so glad that we did not - there are many tourists but it is very spread out so you don't notice as much...also if you go to Capri, make the effort to get over to the Small Harbor (Marina Piccola) as it is much quieter and has wonderful restaurants" Susan B. We returned home on schedule Sunday evening. Before any more time passes,
Ellen and I want to thank you for all you did to make our visit completely
enjoyable. The house was exactly as we expected, spotlessly clean and
spectacularly situated with the views to the sea. You did more for us than
you had to, and we sincerely appreciate it, right down to Milena seeking us
out at the little store near the house buying our first supplies, and
carrying them to the house for us!
Everything and everyone, including Silvio, was wonderful, and we thank you
for making this special vacation more wonderful than we had imagined. We
will email Marilee to convey our happiness to her directly.
You are as energetic as you are charming, and you are excellent hosts.
