THE PIGEONNIER IN THE DORDOGNE RIVER VALLEY, FRANCE - DORDOGNE

What Our Customers Say About The Pigeonnier in the Dordogne River Valley
  • Bucolic scenery, lovely gite [apartment], charming and accomodating hostess, friendly "villagers", fascinating surroundings, authentic markets, historical towns and unique shopping. Next time I might spring for a GPS unit rental, or at least better maps. Also, I would consider renting a cell phone, or else buy phone cards before hitting the countryside. (Minor issues...) Plus: A quite sufficient kitchen, tranquil setting, Nonards is well-situated to tour the area, comfortable beds, outdoor seating and gas grill, park-like grounds, and a most gracious hostess. (Not to mention two delightful and well-behaved dogs!) Minus: None, provided one realizes that the Pigeonnier is not an expansive villa but rather an historic little structure thoroughly renovated and retrofitted with basic mod-cons. Thomas P.
