Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator and freezer, electric counter top stove, oven, microwave oven, toaster, juice squeezer, electric kettle, coffee and teapots, and all necessary equipment for cooking.
No laundry facilities in the apartment but available in the neighborhood.
The apartment is on the “noble” (first) floor, with no lift, of an old building from 1847.
One floor up, not difficult access, but not suitable for anyone with specific mobility limitations.
There are two subway lines and many buses serving this area, which can connect you easily to the rest of Barcelona. Being in the heart of Old Town Barcelona, you are walking distance to nearly everything of interest in town. There is no need to rent a car when you are staying in Barcelona.
The building itself is an un-renovated stately historic mansion from 1847, with an interior patio vestibule and wrought iron and marble staircase (here the disadvantage is that the entrance and staircase are rather shabby and look as if they need restoration).
Best of the old and the new...period furnishings and modern comforts.
It is possible to begin your rental on any day of the week in this property, however reservations other than Saturday to Saturday cannot be done automatically by yourself on our website and therefore are subject to a $50 booking fee. Late arrivals after 9:00 pm, 30 Euros CASH surcharge paid on arrival. On departure day, extra charge of 50 Euros for every ten minutes after 10:10 am (required departure) or fraction of overtime. Additional tourist taxes (rarely to exceed 1 Euro per person, per day) on arrival, may apply.

The spacious old quarters have been renewed and restored for a more comfortable contemporary feel in this vacation rental apartment while keeping the elegance and charm of the old days. It is decorated with stylish and modern furniture resulting in a beautiful and very comfortable apartment. The building itself, a stately historic mansion from 1847, could use a facelift on the outside but none of those rough edges are apparent inside your apartment. The layout encompasses a nice bright spacious living area with four single sofa beds, a large comfortable dining area with table and chairs for eight, a suite bedroom (double bed, private bath), a twin bedroom, a half bath (toilet and sink) and a bath with shower.
Creature comforts and added touches include: restored old wooden windows that open to the balconies, lots of closet space for clothes, color TV, radio CD, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, alarm clock, central heating, air conditioning and ceiling fans, towels and bed linens are provided, a cot for babies upon request and a writing nook.
All this interior charm is complimented by a really great location - walking distance from the most interesting attractions that the city offers: Las Ramblas, Plaça Catalunya, beaches, the Picasso Museum, the Liceo Opera House, the Cathedral, “el Borne” and the central shopping area, etc. It is also on The Avinyo Street, a lively neighborhood mix of picturesque, old-world small shops and famous traditional “tapas bars,” “tascas” and “tavernas.” Your neighbors will be a mix of young liberal professionals, university students, artists and foreign immigrants. You'll find a range of trendy and ethnic bars, restaurants and fashionable avant-garde shopping nearby.
